Founded by Ella, a health worker with a passion for art and creativity, Mouse & Maize was born from a deep love for all things handmade, heartfelt, and healing. This is a space where mess is welcome, perfection is overrated, and you’re invited to come exactly as you are.

Whether you're picking up a paintbrush for the first time or rediscovering your spark after a creative hiatus, you’ll find more than just art supplies here — you’ll find community, joy, and the kind of slow, sacred play that our busy world forgets to make room for.

Do I need to be “good at art” to join a workshop?

Nope! Not even a little bit. Our workshops are all about play, process, and personal expression. Zero pressure, just good vibes and creative flow. Whether you haven’t picked up a paintbrush since primary school or you’re deep in your art era — you’re welcome here. 💛

Can I book a private workshop for a group or event?

Yes! We love hosting birthdays, hens’ parties, teen groups, mum & daughter days, and corporate creative wellness. We’ll help you plan something magical and totally custom. Drop us a message in our contact form or over on Instagram & we’ll get it sorted! ✨

What’s included in the workshop price?

All art materials, good tunes, warm tea, and a cozy creative atmosphere are included. You just bring your lovely self (and maybe a friend). You’ll leave with a finished piece, a full heart, and maybe a little paint on your hands. 🎨✨

What age are the workshops for?

We offer a variety of workshops for different age groups. Head over to the “WORKSHOPS” tab to see what’s on offer! If there’s something that you’re interested that we don’t have, please reach out to us!

How many people are in each workshop?

We keep it small — up to 10 people per session. That means more space, more connection, and more creative flow for everyone. Think of it like a creative gathering, not a classroom.

What if I’m feeling nervous about attending alone?

Totally understandable — and you’re not alone in feeling that way. We aim to create a super welcoming atmosphere from the very first sip of tea. Opening circles, gentle prompts, and no-pressure creative play help you settle right in. 💫
